• Dr. Grant L Madsen , D.V.M.

  
  

  Dr. Madsen graduated from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.  After practicing  in Butte, MT, he opened the Payson Family Pet Hospital.  He has taken the Family Pet Hospital of Spanish Fork from a small satellite clinic to a modern, new, free-standing, full-service animal hospital.  Dr. Madsen enjoys spending his free time camping, hiking and kayaking with his wife and their nine children, woodworking, and gardening.  Their family pets have ranged from gerbils and hamsters, cockatiels, parakeets and a cockatoo, rabbits, cats, a greyhound, and a border collie.

  Ashley has been with the Family Pet Hospital since November 2007.  She was born in Merced, California and later moved to Lehi, Utah.  She attended Mountainland Applied Technology College and graduated with her Veterinary Assistant Certificate.  Ashley and her husband have been married for just over 2 years and are the proud owners of 3 pets.  They have Aspen a Siberian Husky and 2 cats named Buster and Thomas.  Ashley’s hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding, traveling, scrapbooking, and camping.

• Staci Blackett

  
  

  Staci Blackett has been with the Family Pet Hospital since July 2003. Staci was born in Springville and raised in Spanish Fork. After graduation she moved to Wyoming and then attended Snow College. She studied animal science on a scholarship for cheerleading. After Snow College she attended UVSC for another year. Staci's hobbies include: traveling, fishing, hunting, softball, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities. Staci truly enjoys working with pets and hopes to take her national exam soon. She has worked with rescue groups in our area to help foster and adopt pets to new homes. Staci recently got married to Jory Craig and they have many pets that they has rescued over the years: Baccardi an Old English Sheepdog, Nikki a Labrador Retriever and a Great Dane named Viper. She also has three cats that were all rescues: Batman, BooBoo Bear, and Pooper.

• Andrea Goates , CVT

  
  

  Andrea Goates was born in Provo, Ut and has lived in St. Lucia, Texas and Connecticut. She graduated from BYU in April 2003 with a BS in Animal Science, and a Veterinary Technology emphasis. Andrea has passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam in Portland, OR. She is the owner of Puff, a 13 year old diabetic cat and Zooga, a five year old red-eared slider.  Andrea enjoys traveling, most recently visiting New Zealand, New York, and Seattle. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking, tap dance, ice skating, eating chocolate and reading. Andrea loves Veterinary Dentistry and improving pet’s quality of life.

• Libby Hylton

  
  

  Libby Hylton moved from North Carolina two years ago. She is attending UVSC for a Bachelors in Elementary Education. While she was here studying she met her husband, Stephen, and was recently married one year ago in Mapleton. Her husband is going to school as well for a Bachelors in Secondary Education. Stormy, is her Siamese cat, she recently adopted. They have no children currently, but Stormy is their beloved darling. In Libby’s spare time she likes to be with her husband fishing, camping, gardening, riding bikes down the canyon and shooting guns. Libby joined the Family Pet Hospital in February and was recently promoted to Head Receptionist. She thoroughly enjoys working with the staff and clients promoting quality care for their pets.

• JaAnn Johnson

  
  

  JaAnn Johnson has lived in three of the Western states and moved back to Utah in 1991. Graduated from Springville High School in 1996. JaAnn is married to Ryan and has a beautiful seven-year-old daughter. Her family lives here in Mapleton with her pets, Doc, Kitty and Mr. Lime. In her spare time she likes to camp, 4-wheel, scrapbook, swim, and just relax with her family and friends. JaAnn has been with the Family Pet Hospital since June. She has expressed that this is her life long dream of working in an animal clinic. Getting to know the clients as well as their pets and providing the best family quality service to them.

  Melanie Adams has been with us since June 2008.  She was born and raised Spanish Fork.  After graduating from Spanish Fork High School,  Melanie married Casey Adams.  They have been married for just over a year and have a sweet little Pomeranian Mix named Chloe.  Melanie would like to add another puppy to the family soon! In her spare time Melanie enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, camping, swimming, and racing Dodge trucks with her husband. Melanie loves working with animals and enjoys getting to know you and your pets. Melanie strives to make each one of our client experiences a good one, and that you receive the highest quality care.

• Amethyst Johnson , Master Groomer

  
  

  Amethyst has fifteen years of grooming experience. She recieved her Masters certificate from the National Dog Groomers Association in March of 2005. She has high standards for the quality of her grooming, and the way the animals are treated while they are in her care. Each dog or cat that Amethyst grooms is special, and deserves the best care that she can give them. Amethyst works with her assistant Chelsie Barker, and together they are a fantasic team.
